HAVE A QUESTION
~How many people are allowed per campsite? Our campsite rates are based on two adults and their dependent children OR four adults. Additional guests may be added at management's discretion and charged additional guest fees.
~What time is check in and check out? Check in for campsites and rental units is 3 pm - 8:30 pm. Check out is 2:30 pm for campsites and 12:00 pm for rental units.
~Where do I check in? Please proceed to the general store upon arrival to register and pick up your welcome packet.
~Is outside firewood allowed? NO! In an effort to protect our trees, we do not allow outside firewood. For more information, please go to dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood is available for sale in our general store, AND for your convenience we can deliver it directly to your site.
~Why do I have to wear a wristband? We require wristbands to protect you, our guests. The purpose of wristbands is to prevent non-registered guests from using the amenities of the resort that you as a guest have paid to use. We regularly do "wristband checks" and will ask you to return to your campsite to get your wristband if found not wearing one. We also use wristbands to keep an accurate guest count.
~Do you allow pets? Yes, we are pet friendly! We require that pets be leashed at all times and cleaned up after by their owners. FREE disposable bags are located throughout the resort for your convenience.
~Do you allow golf carts? No, for the safety of our children and pets, we do not allow golf carts. Golf carts are for GRO staff use only.
~Do you have a general store? Yes, we have a store on site. We are open limited hours during the week and extended hours on the weekend for your convenience. We sell convenience items, as well as various snacks, treats, grocery items, clothing, pool items, fishing supplies, camping supplies, etc.
~Do you offer WiFi? Yes, free WiFi is available in our Great Room, General Store and Kids Craft Corner for your convenience.
~Do you sell propane? Yes, we fill propane tanks on site. Place your order in the general store.
~Are there Seasonal sites currently available? Please call our office at (815)638-2088 or (815)857-2815 for a current list of available Seasonal sites.
~When are you open for the season? We open April 17 to our Seasonal campers and May 1st to the public for general camping. Our last day open to the public is October 12, while our last day for Seasonals is October 18..
~Do you offer 50 amp electrical service? Yes, we do have sites with 50 amp service. Please request this when making your reservation.
~Do you spray for mosquitoes? No, in an effort to protect those with asthma and other respiratory illnesses, we do not do mass pesticide spraying for mosquitoes.
~Do you sell day passes? No, our amenities and services are for seasonal and overnight campers and their guests only.
~Do you sell gift certificates? Yes, gift certificates are available for purchase year-round.
~Do you offer banquet facilities for rent? Yes, our Pavilion holds up to 150 people and is available for parties, receptions, school dances and other large events. Our Great Room holds up to 50 people. Please call for rates.
